The short version

Massive Disk reads your Mac's filesystem to build its visualizations, and that's where the data stays. The app makes exactly two kinds of outbound network call, both itemized below. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDK riding along in the background — not in the app, and not on this website.

Every network request this app makes

This is the complete list. If a network request Massive Disk makes isn't one of these two rows, it doesn't happen.

WhenHostWhat is sentWhat is never sent
On launch, and periodically while the app is open, to confirm your Pro status api.revenuecat.com Your account ID (MD-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and the device/platform info the RevenueCat SDK attaches automatically File names, paths, sizes, scan results, or any other content from your Mac
Periodically, checking for a newer app version www.massivedisk.com/appcast.xml Your installed app version and macOS/CPU architecture — a standard Sparkle appcast request Any identifier tied to you, file data, or usage information
Analytics: none — there is no analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the binary.

What this website stores

This website (www.massivedisk.com) receives subscription webhook events from RevenueCat when you purchase or renew Pro. We store, in Cloudflare KV: your RevenueCat app user ID, the type of subscription event (purchase, renewal, cancellation), product ID, and expiration date, and — only if you provided it during checkout — your email address. We use this solely to let the app confirm a purchase went through and to support you if you contact us.

That's the entire contents of our database — no page views, no visitor IDs, no cookies. This website does not use cookies and does not run any analytics.

The legacy host massivedisk.massivedynamicscanada.com remains a permanent alias that serves the same content and redirects browsers to the canonical host above.

Third parties

The only third-party service involved anywhere in Massive Disk is RevenueCat, which handles subscription billing and entitlement checks. We do not use analytics providers, ad networks, or any other third-party SDK.

Full Disk Access

Full Disk Access is a macOS permission, not a network permission. Granting it lets Massive Disk read protected folders (like Mail or Safari data) locally on your Mac — it has no bearing on what leaves your machine, which remains nothing beyond the two calls described above.

Data retention and deletion

Subscription records in Cloudflare KV are kept for as long as needed to support your subscription and for a reasonable period after cancellation for support purposes. To request deletion of any data we hold about you, email us with your account ID.
